A ProFile hard disk can hold up to 32,000 forms! Information can be retrieved in a variety of ways. You call up the blank form and fill in the retrieve specifications by one of the following methods: Exact match on one or han one file can be stored on the same disk using PFS ///. After you have designed the blank form, you can recall it to the screen, fill it out, and then store the filled-in form back on the disk file. A single disk can hold up to 1,000 one page f next. PFS operates on the principle that information is kept, as the word itself implies, in forms. Using the computer keyboard and screen, you design the form you want and then save it in a file on a floppy disk or fixed (ProFile) disk. More trequired. A PFS Forms Sampler book that gives 27 pages of ideas for forms and uses for PFS is also available. I rate the documentation for both programs as VERY GOOD. PFS and PFS:Report are both menu driven and don't leave you guessing what to dos. The manuals are very easy to read and give examples of all program entries. The table of contents is clear and informative, arranging information into chapters for each subject covered. At the end of each chapter is a summary to refresh your memory as . The question each user must answer is, will these products do what I require from a database manager? I will attempt to give you the strong and weak points in an objective manner. The documentation for PFS is 104 pages and PFS:Report is 74 page 07/23/82 PFS and PFS:Report for the Apple /// After using the PFS and PFS:Report on my Apple /// for the last seven months, I can honestly say that both programs were well worth the money.
